How Many Words counts every word, character, sentence, and paragraph as you type — no sign-up, no upload, just Howy the cat keeping half an eye on your word count (even at 4am, even for that email). Keep multiple drafts open at once with tabs, highlight a chunk of text to count just that bit, and get a reading time, speaking time, and Dale–Chall reading level so you know whether your writing needs a summary or an editor. Word and sentence counting is Unicode-aware, so it holds up across a range of scripts, not just English.
